Engineering Office Administrator
Location: Wigston, Leicestershire
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: £26,000 per annum
About Us:

We are a busy, fast-paced engineering component distributor with a small, friendly team of 30 people. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and supporting our clients with high-quality products and solutions. We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Office Administrator to assist our sales and engineering departments with administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quotations via email and telephone, ensuring accuracy and timely responses
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and email enquiries with professionalism and courtesy
  • Provide general customer service
  • Support our Sales and Engineering teams with projects and administrative tasks
  • Generate sales reports using Sage 50
  • Organise and coordinate exhibitions and events
  • Assist in the planning and organizing of overseas business travel
  • Perform data entry tasks, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with both the engineering and sales departments to ensure smooth operations
Skills & Experience:
  • Prior experience in an office administration role, preferably supporting sales or engineering teams
  • Experience within an engineering office environment would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Sage 50 accounting software is desirable but training can be provided
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
