Job summary

This foundational role owns the tooling platform, analytics capabilities, privacy-preserving primitives, and a sandbox for rapid iteration, while scaling review through automation and Claude‑driven workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience managing software engineering teams.
• Technical background in full-stack or platform engineering.
• Experience shipping internal tools or platforms.
• Cross-functional collaboration with non-engineering partners.
• Excellent communication skills to explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers building investigation, review, and enforcement tooling.
• Define the vision and roadmap for our review tooling platform, including analytics and privacy primitives.
• Drive scaling of review through automation, including Claude-enabled workflows.
• Partner with policy, operations, legal, privacy, and data science teams to translate needs into reliable systems.
• Ensure tooling evolves with privacy primitives and data retention commitments.
• Create clarity for the team in a dynamic environment.
• Lead inclusive hiring and coaching of top technical talent.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of Anthropic's management community.
