Job summary

Anaplan is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Environment Tooling team within Platform Engineering. You will coach six engineers, drive DevOps and GitOps initiatives, and own non-prod tooling and deployment pipelines. You will partner with security and software leaders to align roadmaps and governance, enabling scalable platform capabilities.

You will shape a next-generation environment strategy, provide developer-facing tooling, and ensure reliable, secure releases across environments.

Qualifications

• Engineering Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering teams as a manager or senior tech lead with mentoring.
• Platform & GitOps Expertise: Deep technical understanding of modern cloud-native architectures, GitOps workflows (Argo CD), IaC, and container orchestration.
• Pragmatic & Iterative Mindset: Focus on delivering value early and often, continuous improvement over perfection.
• Developer Experience Focus: Passion for simplifying the developer inner loop with self-service tooling.
• Clear Communicator: Strong stakeholder management, roadmaps, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform engineers with clear goals and career development.
• Foster a safe, inclusive culture and healthy work-life balance while ensuring operational readiness.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Environment Tooling initiatives, from planning to milestones and risk reporting.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and software development leaders to align roadmaps and goals.
• Oversee Argo CD across the platform, architectural hardening, scalability, and on-call support.
