Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for our Barnsley site to lead engineering excellence, asset reliability and operational performance. You will own the engineering function, drive proactive maintenance, safety and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will manage a team of engineers, control budgets and deliver capital projects, aligning with group standards to improve OEE and site profitability.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering leadership experience in FMCG/food manufacturing or similar.
• Proven ability to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers and engineering leaders.
• Drive equipment reliability and site asset performance through proactive maintenance.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage the site engineering budget and capital projects from proposal to implementation.
• Deliver engineering improvements that boost site profitability and efficiency.
