Job summary

Granola inc in London is seeking an Engineering Manager focused on People & Delivery to scale the engineering team while keeping shipping cadence fast. You are the operational engine and talent multiplier, supporting engineers, nurturing their career growth, and preserving high-trust team dynamics.

You will own squad momentum, partner with product and design to break down projects, remove friction, and ensure rapid, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience managing engineering teams in fast-moving startups or tech companies.
Background as a software engineer or strong technical foundation to discuss architectural trade-offs.
Proven ability to coach engineers, influence career growth, and navigate fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

People & Coaching: conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, support career development.
Delivery & Execution: own squad momentum, break down projects, remove friction, keep cycles fast.
Process & Pragmatism: implement just enough process, avoid bureaucracy.
Team Health & Culture: foster accountability, trust, autonomy, craftsmanship and ownership.
Hiring & Scaling: partner with Talent to recruit, interview, and onboard high-bar talent.
Delivery Mastery: scope features, spot bottlenecks, maintain delivery quality.
