Trainline is seeking an Engineering Manager for the App Platform, leading a cross-functional mobile engineering team. You will coach engineers, guide performance, and shape technical direction while collaborating with Product and Leadership to prioritise impactful projects.

Qualifications

Proven line management experience delivering complex projects.
Background in Mobile App development, Platform or Developer Experience is preferred.
Experience growing engineering teams and mentoring engineers.
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust within teams.

Responsibilities

Coach and develop team members through performance management and career planning.
Involve in hiring, interviews, and onboarding of new engineers.
Identify bottlenecks and clear roadblocks to keep projects on track.
Collaborate with Product and Leadership to prioritise high-value work.
Own the team technical roadmap and align with product priorities.
Communicate delivery progress clearly to all stakeholders.
Drive improvements in tech debt and adoption of efficient technologies.
