Job summary

Civica in the United Kingdom is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering team, while contributing as an individual contributor where needed. You’ll drive delivery, quality and technical direction in a hands‑on, player‑coach style.

Collaborate with product managers and designers to design, develop, deploy and maintain software products, and implement CI/CD pipelines. Experience with NodeJS/React and cloud platforms is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting, coaching and mentoring software engineers.
• Strong knowledge of agile, delivery, automated testing, security and observability.
• Expertise in engineering metrics to drive quality and performance.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and providing clear direction for teams.
• Proficient in writing clean, secure, maintainable code.
