Job summary

Elis UK is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the site engineering at our Healthcare site in Wednesbury. You will drive safety, reliability, and continuous improvement while collaborating with the General Manager to deliver the site business plan.

Join a global leader in textiles and facility services and help develop engineering talent, manage budgets, and implement preventive maintenance, compliance, and performance KPIs.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within industrial maintenance or process-driven environments.
• Strong operational maintenance experience.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience with boilers and steam systems would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site engineering team, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
• Own the planned preventative maintenance programme and improve its effectiveness.
• Coordinate resources to support production, maintenance, and unplanned breakdowns.
• Oversee installation, testing, maintenance and repair of site equipment and facilities.
• Ensure safe, efficient completion of corrective engineering work within timescales.
• Drive QHSE compliance including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Develop and monitor engineering KPIs and manage budgets and variances.
• Collaborate with suppliers/contractors for parts, surveys and support.
• Support engineers and technicians on new machinery and safe practices.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost reliability and efficiency.
• Partner with leadership to deliver site objectives.
