Job summary

ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions on behalf of a market-leading FMCG manufacturer in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead engineering and maintenance across a major production area, driving performance, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations across a key section of the site, managing a team of approximately 20 engineers and apprentices.
• Work closely with Shift Managers and technical teams to ensure efficient, proactive maintenance and minimal downtime.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for breakdowns, emergencies, and improvement projects.
• Drive engagement through effective coaching, training, and development of your team.
• Manage performance, including holidays, reviews, and disciplinaries.
• Deliver engineering and continuous improvement projects, acting as the link between production and maintenance.
• Promote asset management best practices and support the long‑term engineering strategy.
