Job summary

Amcor Bromborough is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead on-site engineering and maintenance for a large blown film extrusion site. You will manage shift engineers, drive a strong H&S culture and ensure preventative maintenance across diverse equipment.

The role reports to the Plant General Manager and requires a time-served apprenticeship plus a related qualification, with hands-on leadership to boost production and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship and a recognised qualification in a related discipline.
• Experience in production maintenance and engineering leadership.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all shift and day engineers and engineering activities.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture on site.
• Plan and execute daily preventative maintenance across extrusion equipment.
• Assist with fault finding and diagnostics in reactive or planned work.
• Ensure breakdowns are handled promptly while maintaining PPM schedules.
• Support project development and engage with operations to maximise output.
• Lead continuous improvement and drive proactive maintenance actions.
