The Role

As an Engineering Manager within Cavendish Nuclear, your role involves overseeing projects related to decommissioning nuclear facilities, supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, and aiding the operation and construction of nuclear power plants. Our aim is to clean up the nuclear legacy and foster a world where nuclear energy contributes to national security, energy supply, and net zero commitments.

Day-to-day, you will lead the planning and management of multidisciplinary projects, coordinating and integrating various tasks. You will guide the engineering team to deliver technical solutions within budget and scope, from concept design through full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).

  • Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering work.
  • Promote collaboration across engineering and other functional teams.
  • Manage customer relationships, including liaison and development of new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the technical output to ensure solutions meet the technical scope.
  • Uphold the highest standards for health and safety, ensuring team compliance with company standards.
  • Manage resources and develop team capabilities to meet future workload demands.
  • Plan and execute project and technical audits to facilitate learning and improvement.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices, promote engineering excellence, and lead cultural development and change.
Essential Experience
  • Management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams on various projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with diverse disciplines.
Qualifications
  • An engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain baseline security clearance.
