Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our depot team in Harrogate. You will oversee a skilled group of engineers, electricians and body repair specialists, ensuring safety, reliability and high service standards across the fleet.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical knowledge and a focus on maintaining DVSA and O-Licence compliance, MOT performance and efficient budgeting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ qualification (or equivalent City & Guilds qualifications).
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience leading engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience working with buses or coaches (desirable).
• PCV licence, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Managing all vehicle maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs.
• Driving exceptional engineering standards and vehicle reliability.
• Ensuring full compliance with DVSA and O-Licence requirements.
• Working towards and maintaining outstanding MOT performance.

As Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable and ready to deliver excellent service every day.

You'll lead a skilled team of Engineers, Electricians and body repair specialists, providing direction, support and motivation while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and vehicle performance.
