Job summary

RBW Consulting in the South London / North Surrey area is seeking a hands-on Site Leader to manage a small maintenance team, oversee servicing and actively participate in engineering projects.

The role requires versatility and problem-solving ability, with a hands-on approach to daily duties. You must live within an hour of the facility and be prepared for call-outs, including nights and weekends, with overtime/TOIL options.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in engineering/maintenance within pharmaceutical manufacturing (hands-on environment).
• GMP/pharma experience would be nice to have but is not essential.
• Supervisory experience is ideal but not essential if you have depth of technical expertise and leadership potential.
• Must live within one hour of the facility due to call-out requirements.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering capability would be beneficial.

With a number of exciting business wide initiatives from new product introductions and operational increases, through to expansions and new site launches, this leading pharmaceutical business is in a very exciting period of growth and transition.

The very reason for this hire is a back fill due to a promotion.

This specific hire is for their site in South London / North Surrey and will take full accountability for a small team and be responsible for maintenance, servicing and take a strong involvement in engineering projects.

This is a hands on management position that requires versatility, flexibility and an ability to solve problems – it’s a small person team and therefore the key is that you can get stuck in and are willing to take on a number of the duties directly on a day to day basis.

The standard hours are 7am to 3pm Mon-Fri – but you need to be flexible as there will be call outs (including nights and weekends). Overtime/TOIL is available.

Key experience:

• Hands on experience in a hands on engineering / maintenance setting – must be within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Pharmaceutical and/or GMP experience would be a nice to have but is not essential
• Supervisory experience ideal but not essential if you have the depth of technical experience and the capability to manage
• Must live (or be willing to live) within one hour of the facility due to call out requirements
• Mechanical and electrical engineering capability would be beneficial
