Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Engineering Manager for a modern FMCG manufacturing site in Gloucestershire. You will lead an engineering team responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated production lines, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.

This role offers a Monday to Friday days shift, with opportunities to drive reliability, reduce downtime, and support production performance across the site in Severnside, Gloucestershire.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands-on maintenance including pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced factory.
• Ability to work a Mon - Fri days role.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in manufacturing environment; mechanical maintenance experience; basic PLC fault-finding advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the engineering team performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated production machinery to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Drive Downtime reduction, improve reliability, and support production performance across the site.

Job Role of the Engineering Manager

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a modern, high-tech FMCG manufacturing site in Gloucestershire. You will be responsible for overseeing the engineering team that carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated and semi-automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Working on a Mon - Fri - days shift pattern, you will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving reliability, and supporting production performance across the site.

Requirements for the Engineering Manager

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical maintenance experience (motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics).
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience advantageous.

Desirable Requirements for the Engineering Manager

• Experience working as a Engineering Manager in the UK.
• Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
