Job summary

Cavendish House in Bath seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of machine setters and maintenance engineers. You will drive safety, efficiency and continuous improvement across manufacturing, ensuring production operates with minimal disruption.

The role focuses on team leadership, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and compliance with HSE, DSEAR and ATEX requirements, with a track record of improving cycle times and capacity in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a maintenance/engineering team in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to drive safety, reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Strong knowledge of process safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of machine setters and maintenance engineers.

Looking for an experienced and proactive Engineering Manager to join our dynamic business to help us with continuous improvements and operational efficiency. To lead and manage a team of machine setters and maintenance engineers, ensuring production operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.

The Business has a number of product portfolios; manufacturing products for wide range of industries, including woodcare, construction & maintenance, Industrial, environmental, Agriculture & Contract manufacturing.

Our client sells across retail and trade/professional sectors with a growing marketing department. Nearly 150 years in their sector with high quality products and exceptional service with a long standing work force.

You will be responsible for:

• Team Management
• Preventive Maintenance
• Fault Diagnosis

• Continuous improvements & efficiency of manufacturing productivity. Cycle times, machinery capacity etc
• Engineering Records & Documentation

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Chemical, process, mechanical, manufacturing or related engineering disciplines.
• Significant process engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience undertaking HAZOP and process risk assessment.
• Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX requirements
