Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment is seeking an Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor based in South Bedfordshire for a full-time permanent role.

You will lead the site engineering team, oversee manufacturing operations, and manage equipment design and spares with a focus on safety.

The role requires hands-on supervision, CAD capability, and strong communication to coordinate multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervision and/or project leadership.
• Time-served Electrical/Mechanical engineer.
• Excellent Electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Good knowledge of health and safety.
• Flexible and pro-active.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to deal with multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills.
• Good inter-personal and team working skills.
• Experience of engineering disciplines.
• IT literate.
• Experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor all activities relating to manufacturing operations, equipment and processes
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the site engineering team
• Prepare RFE's/Capex's for engineering tools and equipment
• Oversee design and development of equipment
• Manage critical spares
• Interview, train, develop and evaluate performance of engineering associates
• Manage total project activities with planned schedule for timely completion
• Recommend replacement of existing equipment
• Manage and present design proposals
• Establish priorities to ensure all machinery, equipment and facilities are in good, safe working condition

We have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor based in South Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.

Summary of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor role

Salary: £55,000
Location: South Bedfordshire
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours 8.30am - 4.30pm

Responsibilities of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor
