Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an Estates Maintenance Support role to assist multi skilled maintenance staff in delivering cost effective, timely and quality maintenance across plant, equipment, buildings and services. You will maintain records, work safely in hazardous areas and support waste facility operations within the Trust's estates team.

The job requires GCSEs, possibly NVQ2 in Maintenance and CSCS/ECS card, with willingness to work in varied sites and lone-worker

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or Functional Skills Level 2) required.
• NVQ 2 in Maintenance Operation or equivalent desirable.
• CSCS/ECS card desirable for site access and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support the aims and vision of the Trust and its estates services.
• Assist maintenance craftsmen in planned maintenance and on-site tasks.
• Maintain records and documentation per statutory and Trust procedures.
• Work in hazardous areas with appropriate safety measures.
• Undertake engineering PPMs following Trust procedures and schedules.
• Assist in waste facility operations and material handling as needed.
• Be prepared to lone work and operate Trust vehicles when required.
