Job summary

TR2 Recruitment is partnering with a leading Further Education provider in South West Cumbria to recruit an Engineering Lecturer specialising in Quality and Workplace Improvement. You will deliver high-quality engineering education and training, focusing on quality, workplace improvement and continuous improvement within modern engineering environments.

Ideal candidates have a strong engineering background and experience in mentoring, assessing or teaching others, with previous FE teaching

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification or significant industry experience.
• Strong practical experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of quality, continuous improvement and workplace improvement methodologies.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to learners.
• Mentoring, coaching, training, assessing or developing others would be highly desirable.
• Genuine interest in supporting learners to progress into engineering careers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, industry-relevant learning to engineering students.
• Contribute to teaching, learning and assessment across engineering programmes.
• Bring industry knowledge to life and show how engineering is applied in the workplace.
• Support learners to develop technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours.
