TR2 Recruitment invites applications for an Electrical Engineering Lecturer in South West Cumbria. The role focuses on delivering practical Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Engineering training in a hands-on workshop environment.
You will guide industry-experienced learners, supervise demonstrations, assess practical work, and promote safe working practices. A Level 3+ Electrical Engineering qualification and teaching credentials are preferred.
Electrical Engineering Lecturer | South West Cumbria | Up to £37,415 | Permanent | 37 hours. Practical, hands‑on role delivering Level 2 & 3 Electrical Engineering. Industry professionals with training/mentoring experience encouraged to apply.
You will deliver Electrical Engineering training across Level 2 and Level 3, with a strong emphasis on practical, workshop-based learning. You will use your industry experience to demonstrate techniques, supervise practical activities and help learners develop the skills expected within a modern engineering environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong practical Electrical Engineering background who can demonstrate electrical engineering skills to learners.
You should ideally have practical experience in areas such as:
Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering or maintenance environment would be particularly valuable.
This role could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional looking to move into Further Education.
You do not necessarily need to have worked as a lecturer previously.
Existing FE teaching, training or assessing experience would of course be advantageous.
A relevant Level 3 or higher Electrical Engineering qualification would be expected, with a teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent and/or an A1/TAQA assessor qualification being advantageous.
