Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Engineering Lecturer to join a local college in Hull on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Lecturer or a skilled engineering professional with teaching experience to support students across Level 2 and Level 3 Engineering courses, with some teaching at HND Level 4.

The role offers 35 hours per week with a pay rate of £25-£40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience teaching, lecturing or training in an engineering environment.
• A teaching qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Level 2 and Level 3 Engineering programmes, with some teaching at HND Level 4.
• Teach both theoretical and practical engineering topics, ensuring students understand core principles.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, learning materials, assignments and practical activities.
• Assess students' work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress against learning objectives.
• Support students in developing practical skills, problem-solving abilities and confidence in applying engineering principles.
• Maintain attendance, assessment results and student progress records.
• Differentiate teaching approaches for varying abilities and learning styles.
• Promote health and safety procedures during practical sessions and workshop activities.
• Support students in preparing for examinations, coursework deadlines and practical assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and stay updated on industry practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and progression.
