Job summary

Boden Group in London is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide a multi-skilled Hard FM team and oversee maintenance across a large estate. The role runs a 40-hour week under a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a salary around £55,000 per year.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, managing subcontractors, and reporting on service performance while coordinating resources across the university estate.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in an engineering discipline.
• Trade background in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a TFM or IFM environment.
• Strong knowledge of hard services and associated regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-skilled Hard FM team, including Supervisors and Engineers.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across M&E systems to meet compliance and targets.
• Ensure statutory compliance, audit readiness, and Safe Systems of Work/Permit to Work adherence.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring safety and quality.
• Monitor service performance, produce reports, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate labour, resources and materials for maintenance delivery.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, clients and internal teams across the university estate.
