Job summary

Humanoid is building the world’s most capable humanoid platform and is seeking an Engineering Lead to own developer productivity in the AI era. You will lead a new productivity team, building the environments, tools, and verification needed for agents to accelerate engineering while safeguarding code and robots.

You will recruit, mentor, and hands-on coach engineers, collaborating with Security, Safety, Simulation, and robot software groups to increase output and reduce cost without compromising

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating developer tooling or infrastructure used across engineering teams.
• Strong software engineering skills and comfort in large codebases or monorepos.
• Practical Linux, containers, and cloud infra experience; knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with coding agents in engineering workflows; focus on reliability, latency, and cost.
• Security-aware design for workload isolation, identity, and credentials.
• Delivery of automated tests and verification systems with clear boundaries between automation and human review.
• Track record in leading engineers while staying hands-on and delivering trusted systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the path from an agent task to a healthy deployed change, including criteria, execution, verification, merge, rollout, monitoring, and rollback.
• Build secure, reproducible agent runtimes with identity, credentials, access controls, and activity monitoring.
• Create interfaces for developers to launch, monitor, and control agents and enable collaboration through shared memory and authorized access.
• Improve efficiency by optimizing context, tooling routing, caching, and task decomposition to reduce tokens and retries.
• Provide agents rapid access to builds, tests, simulations, replay, and hardware-in-the-loop with fixed acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to make codebases easier to navigate with stable interfaces and reproducible environments.
• Recruit and lead the team while remaining hands-on; measure success by cost per change and time to healthy deployment on robot.
