Job summary

H.A McEwen (Boiler Repairs) Ltd, based in Cowling, West Yorkshire, is recruiting an Engineering Labourer / Trainee Engineer to support its engineering team. The role offers hands-on experience in workshop and site work with full training provided.

You will develop practical engineering skills across multiple disciplines, with progression opportunities and travel where required. A 3-month introductory contract with potential for permanent placement is offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Cowling, West Yorkshire.
• Comfortable with practical, hands-on work.
• Willingness to travel and work away when required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting engineers with day-to-day tasks on-site and in the workshop.
• Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for projects.
• Loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
• Collecting and delivering parts and equipment when required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Supporting engineers during repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Carrying out general labouring duties to assist project completion.
• Following company health and safety procedures at all times.
