Job summary

Domo Tactical Communications (DTC) and Domo Broadcast Systems (DBS), part of Codan Group, are global high-technology companies delivering mission-critical wireless and broadcast solutions for demanding environments. The successful applicant will join an Engineering Team that leads in Digital Signal Processing, RF Engineering, and high-speed hardware development on embedded and PC platforms.

During the placement you will work across functional teams to design and release DTC products, gaining

• On track for a predicted 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Software, Physics or a related discipline to Engineering

What will you be doing?

The successful applicant will work within an Engineering Team who are world leading experts in Digital Signal Processing, RF Engineering, High Speed Digital Hardware development and software development on both embedded and PC based platforms.

By the end of the industrial placement, we aim to have you actively contribute to the design and release of DTC products! In support of this, during your placement, you will spend time embedded within the various functional teams that, together, ensure the successful delivery of DTC products to our customers.

You will have a passion for teamwork, an inquisitive mind and a "can do attitude" as well as a strong academic background and a keen interest in one or more of the following areas:

• Embedded Software Development
• PC Application Software Development
• Digital Signal Processing
• Communications Algorithm development and Simulation
• RF Engineering and RF Hardware Development
• Baseband Hardware Development
• Test System Development and ATE Systems

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and capable undergraduate to work within either our DTC or DBS Engineering teams over the course of your Industrial Placement.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who can display many of the following attributes:

• Strong work ethic

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 A levels at grade B or above in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics related subjects.
• On track for a predicted 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Software, Physics or a related discipline to Engineering

The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
