National Grid in the United Kingdom is seeking an Engineering Governance Specialist to strengthen how engineering decisions are governed, risks are managed and compliance obligations are met in a regulated environment.

You will develop and maintain governance frameworks, drive assurance activities and work with engineering, asset management, safety, quality and risk teams to embed best practice and ensure traceability of decisions across the asset lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering principles applied in practice within regulated environments.
• Experience in engineering governance, risk and compliance.
• Ability to document decisions, justify changes and govern approaches.

• Develop and improve engineering governance frameworks, policies and control arrangements.
• Operate governance processes, decision gates and technical authority pathways.
• Document decisions, concessions and supporting evidence with accuracy.
• Lead or support audits, assurance and compliance activities.

• Develop governance, risk and control frameworks to strengthen decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, asset management, safety and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain governance records and reporting for traceability.
• Provide guidance on governance requirements and compliance obligations.
• Support investigations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen governance across the business.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to influence governance outcomes.
