Job Description:

TGRC invites applications for the role of Engineering Geologist, dedicated to supporting renewable energy and infrastructure projects. This position is based in Southampton and aims to promote sustainable development.

Position Overview

Duration: 12-month fixed-term contract
Location: Southampton
Experience: Prior experience in energy projects preferred
Compensation: £45 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Geological Mapping and Sampling: Conduct field studies, collect samples, and create geological maps for project planning.
• Site Investigation: Lead investigations to assess geotechnical properties, including overseeing drilling and sampling.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze geological data using software and prepare reports to inform design and construction.
• Risk Assessment: Identify geological risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborative Project Management: Work with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate geological considerations into projects.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices.
