Job description

Role:

HSE Manager / Health & Safety Manager - Permanent, Part-time, 2/3 days per week

Salary:

£50,000 to £52,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus Bonus, Private Health, Life Assurance, 10% Pension (combined), small gym on-site and much more!

Hours:

8am till 4pm, (flexible working hours, subject to agreement, over 2/3 days per week)

Location:

Commutable from Fareham, Southampton, Portsmouth, Portchester, Havant, Gosport, Titchfield, and surrounding areas

We are recruiting for a reputable Manufacturer seeking a Health, Safety & Environment Manager (HSE) to join on a permanent, part-time basis (2-3 days per week). The schedule is flexible and subject to agreement. This role offers opportunities to implement changes, improvements, and to achieve recognition and rewards.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage, advise, and facilitate the Health, Safety, Environmental function & EH&S management systems.
2. Ensure compliance with current H&S and environmental legislation.
3. Translate legislation into practical safety and environmental procedures to maintain a compliant workplace.
4. Report on environmental considerations and compliance.

Requirements:

1. Experience in health, safety, and environmental management, ideally in a factory or high-volume manufacturing environment. Other industries are encouraged to apply.
2. Experience with standards including ISO 14001.
3. Knowledge of current legislation such as the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH, etc.
4. NEBOSH certification.
5. Strong computer and documentation skills.
6. Excellent communication skills to mentor and develop the department and site safety culture.
