Job summary

Stockport Nub News in Manchester is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join a respected environmental and engineering consultancy. You will work on ground investigation, geotechnical and contaminated land projects across Manchester and the wider UK.

The role involves supervising fieldwork, completing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, preparing factual and interpretative reports, and liaising with clients, contractors and regulators to deliver safe, on-time projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering geology or geo-environmental consultancy.
• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or related subject.
• Knowledge of Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and ground investigations.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

This Engineering Geologist role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of ground investigation, geotechnical, and contaminated land projects across Manchester and the wider UK. The successful Engineering Geologist will gain exposure to projects from initial site assessment through to remediation while working within a supportive and experienced team.

As an Engineering Geologist, you will undertake and supervise ground investigations, complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, prepare factual and interpretative reports, and carry out geotechnical and contaminated land risk assessments. You will also liaise with clients, contractors, and regulators, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
