Job summary

The American Society of Civil Engineers in Manchester is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join our environmental and engineering consultancy team. You will undertake and supervise ground investigations and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments across Manchester and the wider UK.

You will prepare factual and interpretative reports, carry out geotechnical and contaminated land risk assessments, and liaise with clients, contractors and regulators to ensure projects are delivered safely, on

Qualifications

• Experience in geo-environmental consultancy.
• Knowledge of Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments and ground investigations.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and supervise ground investigations.

Engineering Geologist Location: Manchester Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on Experience) An exciting opportunity has become available for an Engineering Geologist to join a respected environmental and engineering consultancy based in Manchester. This Engineering Geologist role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of ground investigation, geotechnical, and contaminated land projects across Manchester and the wider UK. The successful Engineering Geologist will gain exposure to projects from initial site assessment through to remediation while working within a supportive and experienced team. As an Engineering Geologist, you will undertake and supervise ground investigations, complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, prepare factual and interpretative reports, and carry out geotechnical and contaminated land risk assessments. You will also liaise with clients, contractors, and regulators, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
