Job summary

The American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an Engineering Geologist to join our contaminated land team in the East Midlands. Based in Derby, you will contribute to geotechnical projects across the Midlands and the UK, taking part in field investigations, reporting, and risk assessments.

The role requires a degree in geology or similar, a full UK driving licence, and eligibility to work in the UK. A permanent position with a competitive salary (£32,000–£40,000) and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience supervising site investigations and environmental monitoring.
• Experience conducting GQRA/DQRA and remediation strategy work.
• Ability to produce factual and interpretive reporting and to perform validation & verification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site investigations and environmental monitoring.
• Perform soil and rock logging and Phase 1 preliminary risk assessments.
• Carry out site walkovers and prepare factual/interpretive reports.
