Job summary

Dalkia operates in Nottingham seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own the financial control, governance and reporting for the £300m+ Engineering Division, reporting to the Head of Finance.

You will lead the Financial Accounting and Transactional Shared Services teams, shaping reporting, cash management, and risk mitigation while driving process improvements and building a high‑performing finance function to support growth.

Qualifications

Qualified ACCA/ACCA/CIMA with significant post‑qualification senior finance experience.
Experience as Financial Controller in a large engineering/technical services business.
Proven governance, compliance and audit management track record.
Leadership of Financial Accounting and Transactional Shared Services functions.
Solid knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP-enabled finance transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Own and continually enhance the financial control framework with balance sheet integrity.
Lead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting with variance analysis for decision making.
Coordinate budgeting and quarterly forecasting with grounded assumptions.
Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit processes.
Own divisional cash flow reporting including the 13‑week rolling forecast.
Drive finance process improvement, systems optimisation and automation.
Lead and grow the Financial Accounting and Transactional Shared Services teams.
