Job summary

The University of Leicester is seeking a Teaching Fellow in Engineering Design and Experimentation to join the School of Engineering. You will plan and deliver lectures, laboratory classes, workshops and tutorials across undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, and supervise design and research projects.

You will provide assessment and feedback, act as a personal tutor and help develop curriculum content.

Qualifications

• Experience of preparing and delivering teaching, training or mentoring in an academic or industrial engineering environment.
• Able to teach at university or an equivalent professional level, supervise projects and mentor small teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to promote professional and inclusive interactions with students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, laboratory classes, workshops and tutorials in engineering design and experimentation.
• Supervise design and research projects.
• Provide assessment and feedback to students.
• Act as a personal tutor and support curriculum development.
• Contribute to module leadership, quality assurance and outreach.
