Our client, a leading consultancy in the high transport performance (HTP) sector, is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager specialising in Engineering/Construction Bids. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to manage bid submissions within the construction and engineering sectors and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Management: Manage the entire tender process, including reviewing, preparing, and submitting tender documents. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality submissions aligned with company goals.
- Collaboration & Content Development: Work with engineering and construction teams to understand technical requirements and develop bid content, including responses to Standard Questionnaire (SQ) and other technical documents.
- Client Liaison: Engage with clients, both public and private, to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet tender specifications.
- Engineering Knowledge: Apply engineering construction experience to ensure bids are technically accurate and demonstrate the company's capabilities.
- Team Management: Lead and support the bid team, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Market Insights: Maintain understanding of market trends, especially within local government and transportation sectors, to inform proposals.
- Experience: Proven experience in bid management within engineering, construction, or professional services sectors, with familiarity working alongside engineering construction teams.
- Knowledge of Local Government: Understanding of local government frameworks affecting tender processes.
- Bid Writing Skills: Strong ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling bid content.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a young, growing team.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Willingness to work both in the office (3 days) and from home (2 days).
- Sector Experience: Experience in the transport sector is highly advantageous.
