Job summary

Outsource UK is seeking an Engineering Compliance Engineer for a 6-month contract in Peterborough. This site-based role supports the emissions certification team across global markets, ensuring timely delivery of certification activities.

You will prepare and submit changes to existing certifications, compile EPA/CARB submissions, and help develop certifications for new products entering regulated markets worldwide. A engineering degree and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.
• Understanding of diesel engines and emissions control (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support emissions certification activities across global markets.
• Prepare and submit changes to emissions certifications with complete documentation.
• Compile applications for US EPA and CARB submissions, including Model Year rollovers.
• Develop certifications for new products and growth opportunities worldwide.

Job Title: Engineering Compliance Engineer
Client: Global engineering/manufacturing company
Location: Peterborough
Hourly Rate: £19.32 PAYE or £25.27 Umbrella
Duration: 6 months
Working arrangements: Fully site based
Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Emissions Certification team in delivering certification activities across a range of global markets.
• Prepare and submit changes to existing emissions certifications, ensuring applications and supporting information are accurate and complete.
• Compile certification applications and supporting documentation for submission to the U.S. EPA and CARB, including applications for Model Year rollover certifications.
• Develop certification applications for new products and growth opportunities, supporting entry into new and existing regulated markets worldwide.

Key Skills:

• An Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail
• An understanding of diesel engines and emissions control systems - highly desirable
