Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager for its Buildings & Places unit in the UK. The role involves negotiating contract terms, drafting NDAs, MOUs and subcontracts, and supporting bids within the governance framework. You will manage commercial risk and help train non-commercial staff across multiple disciplines.

The role supports hybrid/home and office work with three days on-site across UK offices, contributing to the firm’s ambitious growth and client service improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in law, business, engineering, science or technology or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in sales and procurement commercial management.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and draft contractual wording with attention to detail.
• Experience negotiating contract terms with suppliers/clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
• Organised, commercially minded, and eager to learn; capable of hybrid/office work.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
• Agree NDAs, MOUs, subcontracts and back-to-back agreements.
• Review proposals, prime and sub-contracts, ensuring governance compliance.
• Provide commercial support to bid teams and tender development.
• Identify and manage contractual risk.
• Support contract delivery and governance meetings.
• Train non-commercial staff on commercial and procurement issues.
