Job summary

TR2 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an Engineering Trainer / CAD Specialist to join a not-for-profit engineering training organisation rated Ofsted Outstanding, supporting its Engineering Apprenticeship programmes.

The role focuses on CAD delivery using Autodesk software and closely aligns with manufacturing or automation disciplines; teaching qualifications are supported, with opportunities to mentor and coach apprentices.

Qualifications

Background in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong CAD capability (AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Fusion 360).
Experience in manufacturing (milling, turning, lathes, CNC) or automation.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to learners.
Confidence working with people of all ages and abilities.
Enthusiasm for developing apprentices and sharing industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

Delivering CAD training using Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Inventor and/or Fusion 360).
Contributing to a well-sequenced curriculum plan for engineering apprenticeship programmes.
Ensuring delivery is appropriate to the learner group and aligned to qualification requirements.
Motivating and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
Providing timely, constructive feedback both during delivery sessions and through written or verbal assessment.
Supporting apprentices technical development in line with workplace and industry standards.
Engaging in ongoing CPD to continually develop training and delivery skills.
