Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Engineering Assessor (PSSR) in the West Midlands. Qualifications

• Engineering background with mechanical, welding, fabrication or materials qualifications.
• Willingness to learn additional standards required for the role.
• Experience or familiarity with conducting inspections and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspections/assessments against defined specifications.
• Assess time/value of work for clients.
• Produce deliverables (reports/certificates/documents) within defined parameters.
• Present deliverables to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Support training plans and CPD activities.

You will be familiar with PSSR, and the company will train you on any other standards required.

Responsibilities:

• Performing technical inspections/assessments against defined specifications/scope
• Assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for clients
• Contribute to client management as appropriate, by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client relationships and make recommendations
• Produce the deliverable (reports/certificates/documents) within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format
• Discuss/present deliverable to internal/external client at a senior level and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate
• Follow up training plans, perform activity monitoring/document monitoring and pursue continuous professional development

The person:

Engineering background with appropriate qualifications in either mechanical engineering, welding, fabrication or materials with an understanding of codes such as PSSR
