Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a Production Operative for a permanent role in Bishops Stortford. The position involves hands-on assembly work, media blasting, and kit replenishment for production lines.

Candidates should be comfortable using hand tools and reading drawings, with prior experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting preferred. The role supports a varied production department, with duties ranging from sub-assemblies to stock management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hand tools and experience in their use for electrical and mechanical assembly/production.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
• Ability to maintain records, adhere to quality and regulatory processes.
• Previous grit blasting / powder coating / similar finishing work experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machine accessories such as baskets, hose connectors and trollies.
• Make sub-assemblies and spare parts including electrical and mechanical products.
• Prepare and media blast a variety of tanks under controlled conditions.
• Clean and prep of tanks, apply transducers before oven curing, dismantle jigs for dispatch, maintain blasting and bonding areas.
• Manufacture finished goods and sub-assemblies for production lines.
• Stock management and kit out assistance when required.
