Transmission Developments Co in Poole offers an engineering apprenticeship designed for ambitious individuals with an interest in engineering. Successful candidates will gain practical experience in CNC and manual machine operations while obtaining a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship includes training in health & safety, quality control, and job planning, preparing you for a future career within the company.

With a focus on the manufacturing workshop, successful candidates will be given the opportunity to spend time learning about the engineering and supporting processes in the TransDev business; whilst learning machining, manual and administrative skills that are in demand in today’s workplace. After successfully completing the Engineering Apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
We generally look for individuals who enjoy both practical and academic work. You may have an aptitude for and/or interest in Engineering and want to begin your engineering journey. You will already have shown a desire to see how things are engineered, whether that be through repairing cars/bikes etc., or a general interest in Engineering.
You will be hard-working and enthusiastic with a real commitment to your skills training, classroom learning and private study
Maths and English A*/9- C/4 GCSE (or equivalent), plus an additional 3 GCSEs including science (all to be at least grade C/4 (or equivalent)).
Successful completion of the Apprenticeship is the first step on a career at TransDev, with machining roles and related department roles a possibility.
