National Highways in Bristol is seeking an Engineering and Construction Assurance Manager to lead the annual maintenance and inspection programme for the Specialist Bridges Group. You will oversee delivery of inspection, maintenance and repair works across the asset, ensuring safety, quality and timely execution while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires a driving licence with up to 3 points and a track record in major structures engineering, with strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an engineering environment and capable of managing a team.
• Degree or HNC in an Engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in major structures engineering.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage high quality cyclical maintenance work plans in line with agreed business goals, outcomes, budget and SLAs.
• Lead effective delivery of the annual maintenance and inspection programme, and provide on-site assurance of contractor workmanship and operations.
• Manage responses to inspections, reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring on-time, in-budget delivery and quality repairs.
• Liaise with the Contractor, Consultants, National Highways staff and represent the Company as directed.
• Manage and monitor the performance of staff, the Contractor and supply chain for health, safety and wellbeing.

National Highways have an opportunity for an Engineering and Construction Assurance Manager to join our team intheSpecialistBridges Group based inBristol. Your role will entail leadinganddeveloping annual programmes to include cyclical and reactive maintenance activities. You will also be overseeing and controlling the delivery of inspection, maintenance and repair works across the asset, ensuring all activities, whether routine or reactive, meet the required technical, quality and safety standards with a strong focus on customer service.

You willbe requiredto drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full driving licence, with no more than 3 points, to be considered for this position.

• Develop and managehigh qualitycyclical maintenance work plans in line with agreed business goals, outcomes,budgetand service level agreements.
• Leadeffective delivery of the annual maintenanceand inspectionprogramme,andprovideon siteassurance ofcontractorworkmanshipand operations.
• Manage responses to inspections, reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring that all works are delivered on time and within budget through effective project andfinancial management.Oversee repair works to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Liaise with theContractor, Consultants, National Highwaysstaffand torepresentthe Company in an advisory orsupportive role as directed.
• Manage andmonitorthe performance of staff,theContractorand theirsupply chain in respect of health,safetyand wellbeingensuring they fulfil their personal and organisational obligationsof boththemselvesand customers at all times.
