Job summary

Inspire Education Group in Peterborough seeks a skilled engineer or tradesperson to teach engineering across Level 1–4 (HND) courses. You will share practical knowledge and help learners prepare for their careers, with support to gain a teaching qualification.

Role emphasizes hands-on industry experience, ability to plan lessons, assess progress and create engaging learning environments. Prior teaching is not essential; IEG supports training and progression.

Qualifications

• Recent, relevant experience in engineering or a related trade.
• Holds a Level 3 or 4 qualification, HND, degree or professional industry qualification.
• Has at least Level 2 English and maths.
• Willing to develop teaching skills with support from IEG.

Responsibilities

• Sharing your engineering knowledge and practical skills with students.
• Delivering engaging sessions that bring industry practice to life.
• Supporting learners to develop their confidence, technical ability and employability.
• Assessing student work and providing feedback to help them improve.
• Helping students set targets and achieve their learning goals.
• Contributing to course development and building links with employers.
• Promoting safe working practices and maintaining a positive learning environment.
