Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Engineer Surveyor (Lifting & Crane Equipment) for a field-based role along the M65 Corridor from Preston to Colne. The role involves inspecting lifting gear, identifying defects and ensuring compliance with LOLER/PUWER regulations.

You will work days, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and a solid benefits package. Applicants should have at least Level 3 engineering qualifications and hands-on lifting equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with lifting equipment (forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes).
• Experience with lifting equipment in manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service.
• Must live along the M65 Corridor – Preston to Colne.

Responsibilities

• Inspect lifting equipment to identify defects and prevent potential issues.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports for customers.
• Ensure customers comply with LOLER/PUWER regulations and provide excellent service.

Strong mechanical fault-finding skills

Job Role of the Engineer Surveyor.

A standout opportunity has become available for a Engineer Surveyor to join a leading inspection consultancy. Our client is looking for Engineers with a background of working on or with equipment such as forklifts, mobile elevated working platforms, passenger lifts and cranes and looking for something different in their career.

You will be responsible for inspection to help identify defects and help prevent potential, avoidable defects and complete detailed reports. You will be required to make sure all customers are compliant with LOLER / PUWAR regulations and provide excellent levels of customer service.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineer Surveyor

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering based qualification.


• Hands on experience with or on different pieces of lifting equipment including forklifts, platforms, passenger lifts, cranes, plant equipment (diggers, dumpers), military vehicles or aircraft.

Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.


• Mechanical engineering qualification, NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.


• Experience working on or with various pieces of lifting equipment within manufacturing, military, marine, distribution or field service environments.


• Must live along the M65 Corridor - Preston to Colne

Desirable Requirements for the Engineer Surveyor

• Excellent knowledge of LOLER/PUWAR Regulations.
