Software Engineer - 12 month contract - Frimley OR Portsmouth - £67.47ph UMB or £50ph PAYE (Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing software in ADA and Embedded C/C++ for the Defence and Security sector
• Modifying existing development software and contributing to design updates
• Working on projects related to gun and electro-optical elements
• Engaging in configuration management control and software version updates
• Testing software implementations at the Broad Oak site
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success

Job Requirements:

• Experience in software engineering with proficiency in ADA and Embedded C/C++
• Understanding of configuration management control processes
• Familiarity with the Defence and Security sector, particularly Naval ships
• Ability to work full-time onsite initially, with potential for a hybrid working arrangement
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a high-security environment
• Knowledge of software life cycle management, particularly in the testing and back-end stages
