Job summary

Speedy is seeking a Depot Based Powered Access Engineer in Bristol to service, refurbish and maintain powered access equipment. You will ensure safe, reliable equipment for customers and work with a team of engineers to refurbish, test and check all kit before it is re-hired.

You will need experience on powered access gear (Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie, JLG), be adept at fault finding and estimating repairs, and reading electrical/hydraulic drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie or JLG.
• Ability to fault find and diagnose issues with electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Experience reading electrical/hydraulic drawings and interpreting schematics.
• Experience estimating repairs with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of powered access equipment.
• Ensure safety and reliability of kit before it goes back on hire.
• Based at Bristol site, work with a team of engineers to refurbish and check all kit.
• Support ESG Strategy by contributing to Decade to Deliver initiatives.

Powered Access Engineer - Bristol - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 45 hours per week

As a Depot Based Powered Access Engineer you will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment. You will ensure that our customers are using safe and reliable equipment so that they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

You will be based at our Bristol site working with a team of Engineers ensuring all kit is refurbished, checked and health and safety regulations are followed before they go back on hire.

What you’ll need:

• Ideally be CAP registered but not necessary as we will invest in getting you to the next level.
• Ideally have previous experience in working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG
• Experience in estimating repairs to be carried out with a keen eye for detail
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics
• Able to read electrical / hydraulic drawings, understanding both systems
• Previous engineering experience within powered access
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
