Job summary

Office Angels in Folkestone is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to drive site performance, maintain production equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes working across mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting PLCs and robotics, and prioritising maintenance in line with production schedules.

You will uphold safety standards, support training initiatives, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimise equipment performance and plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with processing and packaging machinery.
• Mechanical and electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent).
• Troubleshooting PLC and robotic issues.
• Reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and SMED projects.
• Lean Six Sigma (yellow or green belt) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive site performance (OEE) and support new project initiatives.
• Maintain and repair all production and plant equipment, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Execute maintenance procedures and prioritise tasks per plant needs and production schedules.
• Conduct regular checks and tests on plant machinery to maintain specs.
• Uphold Health, Safety and Quality procedures, ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Comply with Corporate, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards (including 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations).
• Assist in training others in key skills and develop training plans with management.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams, sharing updates on equipment performance.

Hours: Monday -Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-4 shift 42 hours a week with a 30-minute lunch break

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will:

What You Bring to the Table:

• Proven experience in reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
• A working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and SMED projects.
• Basic Lean Six Sigma qualifications (yellow or green belt) are ideal.
