The Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) Electrical Team:

This role sits within the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) Stage 1 Design team, supporting the development of design scopes for electrical sub-contractor supplied parts and products to be integrated into multiple platforms. You will assess changes from other platform systems that interface with LV Electrical Domain systems, originating and implementing agreed change scopes into design documentation, modelled parts, and other requirement management tools. You will use your existing technical knowledge to help solve challenges encountered in the project, contributing to technical discussions, documentation, and supporting supplier activities such as design reviews, technical queries, and acceptance testing.

The HCF Electrical team comprises 20 Engineers, with five located in the UK. The team plays a key role in delivering the HCF program, leveraging expertise from Clyde site Type 26 Class production and collaborating with a wide network of European suppliers. While the platform’s overall production is based in Australia, UK capability is critical to delivery and long-term success. This role offers the potential for future involvement in Australian-based activities, though this is not essential, as remote working enables strong collaboration between the UK and Australian teams.
