Onshore Infrastructure Engineering Role

This team primarily manages infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Ireland and the UK, including Windfarms, Solar Farms, Substations, Battery Storage Sites, and Road schemes. The role involves supporting our expanding infrastructure design activities. It is predominantly office-based but may include site inspections and supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading or collaborating on structural design and producing design reports
• Site inspections and supervision
• Civil design works for infrastructure, renewable, and environmental projects
• Project and client management
• Design and delivery of civil packages (earthworks, drainage, roads, foundations)
• Collaborating with CAD and GIS specialists
• Quality assurance of reports, drawings, calculations, and software outputs
• Design risk management
• Supporting other sectors within GDG as needed
• Contract management

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant post-graduate experience
• Strong experience with onshore wind, roads, environmental, and infrastructure projects
• Experience in civil and/or structural design of renewable and infrastructure projects
• Construction experience
• Proficiency in civil and/or structural software (Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, Midas, Tedds) preferred
• Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering
• Project and team management experience
• Highly organized, motivated, with effective communication skills
• Good work ethic and commitment to professional development
• Full driving license
