Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Design Engineer - Civils based in Bristol as part of the River Infrastructure team. The role involves delivering infrastructure projects for clients such as the Environment Agency and Severn Trent, with 40 hours per week and some flexibility on hours.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and agreeing technical requirements of client remits, ensuring full understanding and challenging where necessary
• Organising and leading the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team, ensuring technical compliance
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and company policies, including CDM Regulations and design Quality Management Systems
• Contributing to financial and commercial management of projects including progress monitoring and change control
• Delivering alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's competitive position

As a Design Engineer - Civils, you'll be working within the River Infrastructure team, supporting them in delivering infrastructure projects for clients including the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, and Mining Remediation Authority.

You’ll be working collaboratively within a supportive team environment, contributing your expertise to develop safe, buildable solutions that achieve client goals.
