Job summary

Spire Healthcare Group is seeking a maintenance engineer to support hospital facilities across the Havant area. The role emphasizes CMMS data entry, planning and testing of mechanical, HVAC, water and electrical systems, and collaboration with external contractors on site.

You will assist the Engineering Manager in coordinating specialist services, ensure HTM compliance, and contribute to on-call coverage and mandatory training as part of a hospital-wide safety and reliability program.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, water and electrical systems.
• Strong familiarity with CMMS and building services maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for external contractors providing specialist services to building, building services and equipment, and supervise them on site in line with Spire policy.
• Undertake Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) schedules, test plant and equipment, and ensure HTM compliance with records in CMMS.
• Provide out-of-hours emergency on-call support and participate in fire drills or fire-related activities.
• Identify personal training needs aligned with the hospital business plan and assist the Engineering Manager accordingly.
• Complete all mandatory training and maintain up-to-date documentation in the CMMS.

Job description

Be able to utilise the network Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Identify personal training and development requirements consistent with the hospital business plan. Assist the Engineering Manager as point of contact for all external contractors providing specialist services to building, building services, equipment and to oversee those contractors whilst they are on site in line with Spire policy. Have some Mechanical, HVAC, water and electrical knowledge. Undertake Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) Schedules, testing of plant, equipment, ensuring compliance with current Health Technical Memorandum (HTM), and recording all necessary information on the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Provide out of hours emergency on-call service. Assist with any fire drills or fire activity Complete all mandatory training
