Job summary

PowerToFly in Leeds is seeking an experienced Engine Workshop Technician to join our on-site team. You will work on Cummins engines, perform diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds and preventative maintenance to keep engines running at their best.

You will mentor apprentices, uphold safety, document work, and contribute to standardizing practices. A hands-on leader with engine systems expertise and ability to coach others will thrive in our 37.5-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with engine systems and diagnostic software.

  • Ability to complete reports accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor apprentices and elevate team skills.
  • Perform independent diagnostics and engine repairs.
  • Lead standardization of service practices.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prolong engine lifespan.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean workshop.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure quality service.

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Fridays: Enjoy an early finish at 12:30 PM

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Qualifications:
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational Diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Valid Driver’s License (Preferred)
  • Advanced experience with engine products and the ability to coach junior technicians.
